Newcomers to the record business (though veterans of the NYC electronic music scene) Cut Mistake Music will be showcased at Cameo Gallery on the 13th. Here at Brooklyn Bass, we couldn’t be more excited to host such a forward-thinking and creative label.
CMM001 is the label’s first release, with cnnr’s (Connor Whiriskey) Candide on the front and No Regular Play on the B-side with Rain (All Day) and Avenue. Both sides of the 12” show dedication to noise and ambient sensibilities, while retaining dance floor appeal.
CMM’s second record due out is an EP from Joran Lieb (Black Light Smoke), who’s had recent releases on Francis Harris’s Scissor & Thread imprint. Cut Mistake Music also has future plans in the works with classically trained musicians, sound designers, and producers.
Brooklyn Bass resident DJ’s Evan Michael, Judge Wise, and T’Angelo will be holding it down as usual. So come celebrate Cut Mistake Music with us as we keep the party going into the After Hours!
